"Le Vieux Moulin, Vernon, Normandie"

It's easy to find photos of "Le Vieux Moulin de Vernon" online.

Indeed, it was a lovely morning when I stood on the banks of the River Seine to paint this half-timbered relic. That day was only a few days into a two week painting trip with artist friends through the Normandy region of France. The old mill is located just across the new bridge (the 12th century one is gone) from the town of Vernon, on the Giverny side of the Seine.
