"Sunset, entrance to Barrett's Rim"

Standing just off Cave Road, a mowed path leads across a field where deer forage in the evenings. Follow the path back and you come to the entrance to the Barrett's Rim Trail in the Highlands Nature Sanctuary.

I was happy that I finally got out to paint my one sunset during this artist residency. This June evening was perfect, and I finished up the painting just as the bugs were starting to become interested in me.
