"Changing Tide, Maine"

Painted in the Schoodic area of Maine. I had to wait two years to paint this large boulder. I'd seen it on a previous painting trip 2 years prior, but had run out of time to paint. It was at the top of my list of places to paint when I went back, but it actually turned out to be the last painting I did in a 5 day period. I am fascinated by what is under the water. As the light faded, the colors and tones shifted, and the ribbon of water was the first to reach this boulder that evening. The photo is too dark, and I will repost when I get a better one.
