"Dancing with Dandelions"

Painted in April when the Crabapple trees were in full bloom. I never paint flowering trees, but decided that I needed to try. And, it was good to get outside and paint after a couple months of the Covid-19 stay-at-home order.

The site was on the corner of a busy intersection in Pataskala, OH. I ignored most of what was going on around me, until a young man came up behind me without a mask to see what I was doing. He'd left his car engine running at the red light, and startled me out of my concentration. He left when I said I was social distancing. Back to my painting, as it progressed I realized how much the dandelions added to this feel of a spring party.
