"Venus or Aphrodite"

Sharon Weiss Gallery in Columbus proposed a group exhibition for her artists called "My Studio". Just as we were to delivered the work, everything shut down because of the Pandemic that was gripping the US in early April. The exhibition was held online. I delivered this painting to the gallery this year, in early March 2021.

The statues were my Mom's, and I had them sitting on the sideboard for quite a long time where they caught the light each afternoon. I decided I would try to paint them, and the reflection in a mirror that's been kicking around in the studio for quite some time.
