At the beginning of January 2020, I started working in collage on my dining room table. Small pieces of paper, scissors, brushes, glue, all very enticing for my cat, Van Gogh. I had to shoo him away time and time again. But, this time, he went off to sulk sitting against the wall where I'd put up some post-it notes to remind me to work on paintings or drawings of certain things. He was a bit dejected, but the expression on his face captivated my heart, and so I snapped his photo. I knew it would become a painting. I've entered this in 2 exhibitions, and it hasn't been accepted, but I love it.
