"Chai Stall before the Monsoon Rain"

Evening was approaching in Kumbakonum, South India, but, there was time for one more painting. At the start, it was relatively quiet at the top of a set of steps with my back against the wall. Not long before the painting was completed, a monsoon rain started pouring down, and I was "trapped" at the top of a set of steps waiting and watching the rising water. When the rain slowed to a "soft rain", I was surprised to see how quickly the water was receeding. Still the decision was made to wade back to the hotel, just in case the downpour returned.
