"Back Again?"

SOLD at the 3rd Annual Charles Shaw Gala 2025, Lancaster, OH.

I rarely paint 9 x 12's. It's not a ratio that feels natural to me. But that was all I had with me on this day.

I have painted so many times at this site that I know all the folks around this area and they know me.

On this day, I looked and looked, and just was not inspired. I'd already painted this hen house and it's occupants so many times. I needed a new angle, so I painted it straight on. It was early springtime, and I really had a pleasant time painting. I think it comes through in the final painting.
