"Sleeping Giant"

This rock formation at the edge of Europe, off the coast of Ireland, is called 'the sleeping giant'. A magical, timeless place was this area. I painted perched at the outer edge of a highway that runs around the Dingle Peninsula, with rocks falling steeply down to the sea, and covered with sheep grazing for food. The weather was grey, and what else should one expect in the winter in Ireland? It was cold and windy, but a tea shop was nearby, where my husband and I warmed ourselves with tea and buicuits, before moving on.
