"Flirty Dress"

I happened across the flirty little dress outside a shop called VIVO, in Annapolis, Maryland on April 19. I instantly fell in love with the dress, the colors, the black mannequin, and after making two small thumbnail sketches, and realizing that I'd forgotten my tripod, I improvized my backpack into 'an easel' to support my 6 x 8" pochade box. I painted sitting on the edge of the curb, next to a condemned building with my legs traversing a watery gutter and feet flanking my backpack. Whew! An artist has to do, what an artist has to do!
