"Paris Pochades #7: Apartment Still Life"

Rain was pouring down outside the small studio apartment I rented for 12 days in May. I'd been fighting rain for most of the past 8 days. On market day, I bought a bunch of flowers and when I got home, I quickly stuck them into one of the apartment cups, setting them aside near the bowl where I kept my fruit. Each new pochade that I painted also made it's way to this cupboard by the door. Every every morning and evening I'd sit studying my paintings. I thought that this could make a nice painting. So, with relentless rain once again, I decided to let Paris go by, stay indoors, do laundry and paint. I was pleased with the result.
