"Cresent Moon Outhouse"

A student picked our painting spot because there was an historic log cabin. When I got there, I was not impressed with the cabin and started to peruse the rest of the site. Eh, voila! I found this fantastic outhouse. Not original to this site, but it was a great piece of painting fodder. I set to work finding that I'd forgotten my tripod, forgotten my paint. I used an old cookie sheet that was in the trunk of my car, and had been used as a palette before. I had to borrow paint from my student! I forgot my brushes, so I borrowed her palette knife.

I am sure that this site will be one of my favorite "go to spots" for a series of paintings. This is #1; #2 has alread been painted.
